Working Part Time during study or holidays in Switzerland is illegal. However, this rule may not be applicable to certain Canton (states / cities) where students can legally work during their academic period.

Hospitality related courses offer maximum 06 months Paid Internship in each academic year. Internships (Training) are generally provided in good ranking hotels and fine dining restaurants on full time basis. As per Swiss law, during internship students are entitled to earn minimum guaranteed gross stipend (salary) of CHF 2168 (Rs.90,000) p.m. The average net income per month is between CHF 1'200 & 1'400 (approx Rs. 60,000) in hand.
During your Internship, you will work and live as an employee of a hospitality business and as such, you will come under the employment law of Switzerland in force at that time. Swiss Hotel Experience gives student a chance to gain full time practical know how of European Hospitality industry and get awarded valuable Experience Certificate with handsome stipend. |
| MBA / BBA / Others |
| Students will be allowed to work part time up to 15 hours a week and full time during vacations, after 06 months of arrival to Switzerland, depends upon the canton where institute is situated. You can expect to earn minimum up to 1000 (Rs. 45000/-) Swiss Franc in a month during part time. Some Universities also offer up to 09 months paid internship to MBA/BBA students after course completion. Internship will be mostly in Swiss corporate, financial institutions, banks or individual enterprises. |
